I will tell you with the cut to the white of the eye or what they call the sclera it heals pretty fast its the hardest layer of the eye, your Optometrist should have prescribed a topical steroid and I am sure a antibiotic ointment like Erythromycin that will help it heal, follow his/her instructions and you will be shooting in no time and a good chance before your season.
