Personally I'd replace the string and cables. I've had them let go in the case from being too old even if they did look to be just fine. Like someone said; they could last another 7 years or they could let go on the next shot. You'll probably see a slight performance increase with some of the newer fibers as well (452x, UltraCam, 8125...) PM Gibblet before he gets any busier!
