Curious on everyone's thoughts. This is a Western PA whitetail that in my area is not legal to shoot due to 4 pt on one side rule.

I'm curious what everyone thinks is the cause of his antlers to look like this.

1. Old age and on the decline, but I don't think he looks that old.
2. Bad genetics and just doesn't know how to grow points?
3. Lack of nutrition, but he looks big and healthy

He's already shed his velvet. There was a smaller buck with him that was still in velvet.
