Todays weather was great. 68* and no wind. Took the X-150 out to play with some left over bullets i had.
First 3 shots were with the 410 gn hornady great plains bullets, 1st shot was dead center but 4" low, #2 and 3 shots were an Additional 4 inches low! I see myself going back to pyrodex RS very soon when i stock up on those great plains bullets.
Next i loaded up those hard to load 360 grain Minnie conicals, 1st shot was 4" low, Next shot was 3" low, 3ed shot was center of #1 shot but 3" to the right.
Next up and my final hunting load, 348 grain powerbelt hollow point. 1" 3 shot group after 3 shots. Never swabbed the bore today.
80 grains triple 7 and a winchester triple 7 209 primer.
I was shocked to see how well those 360 gn minnies did @ 100, i never expected todays results with them. I still hate 'em for how they load
After muzzleloading season i will resight in with the 410 gn GP conicals and use pyrodex RS. Triple 7 is acting to funny for my liking. However i wil continue to use it in my sidelock. The .45 loved the triple 7 with a powerbelt, so does the x-150 but i want to try the 410 gn GP's so i can see the damage they do on game.
Where can i order some 460 gn No excuse conicals? I think thats the name they call them.
