I mean, yeah, it would be nice if every broadhead in every guy's quiver in this little utopiawas scalpel-sharp. But, this is the real world, and that will never happen. Guys kill 2-3 deer with the same head. They shoot them into the dirt, clean them off, and put them back in the quiver. It happens.
Fact is: More deer will be lost to bad shotsthan will ever be lostdue to a broadhead that wasn't razor sharp.
I knew I lived in Utopia!!!

Mine are scalpel sharp or better every day. They get honed and stropped a couple times a month whether they've been used or not.
I think the main point isn't that your dull heads won't kill a deer, it's that they'll kill one cleaner and faster if they were sharp, and if they're sharp and you do happen to wound an animal, the chances of the wound healing without infection are much better. I don't think that anyone will argue that sharp instruments cut better than dull ones. It's a variable that we can easily control so I see no reason to not control it.
