Dumbest thing I've ever heard... during gun season, after confronting two guys trespassing on posted land, first "The old man gave us permission to hunt here, we just forgot the letter he wrote" then when I explained that I was "the old man" the second guy said "Well, would you give us permission to hunt here?"
