id wear them around hiking/scouting for a while. i never wear new boots anywhere till they are broken in. while breaking them in, i always have another pair somewhere handy so if they start to hurt, i can get them off. i know my White's were stiffer than heck when i first got them. took dang near a month of wearing to loosen them up...

i heard by very knowledgable people that leather boots should be soaked completely and walked dry 3 times to break in...i guess the leather dries to your foot better and gives you a better fit..

sore feet on stand all day would be no fun. id definently wear them and break them in good before hunting in them.

wearing them will also get rid of the smell...
