It's old military property that is now public hunting. The property was onceordinance testing facility and part of Fort Meade. I checked the P&Yrules concerning a place like this before deciding to qualify to ensure that I could post a deer from the property and found through a search that military bases are acceptable due to their size. Over 12,000 acres of property to hunt and it's my first year there.

You are not allowed to screw anything in the trees or leave anything there. Next week I'll be allowed to venture into the woods and get a better understanding of the trees where I plan on hunting. right now it's been all aerial photos and topo work and have a few places picked out that I hope are off the beaten path.

Not a problem. Have a safe trip and we'll here from you when you get back. I'm going to be gone for the same time period down to my brother's place for the holiday weekend.

We have about 30 things we'd like to do for either deer or duck hunting and he works half the time. Maybe slip in an afternoon dove hunt too.
