Default RE: Being Scent Free

It's a game of percentages, so I like to stack the odds in my favor. I wash every item of clothing I plan to wear, down to socks and underwear in scent-free and UV-free detergent. I shower before hunting whenever possible using scent-free soap (which doubles as my shampoo when I'm hunting). I use scent-free deodorant and even rub it on my back, chest and arms, especially around the areas near the opening in my clothes (wrists, neck, etc.). I also spray scent killer on each layer of clothing I put on, including the insides and outsides of my hunting boots, which I use for nothing else and neverwear indoors.I alsospray a little scent killer on the top of my head, since I tend to sweat there.

Also, at the beginning of the season, I soak my backpack in scent-free detergent sudded water, then store it in a contractor-strength plastic bag.

Call me obsessed, but I see lots of deer and almost never get busted because of scent. And I don't use scentlok.
