Amen Ruddy duck!

Personally I can't imagine putting up with the totally unnecessary expense, recoil, etc. of 3.5s. You may gain pattern and a few yards, but that comes with problems too. Like cripples, birds falling in hard to find places, trouble with species and sex id. etc.

I vote for taking ducks in close. All I shoot is 2-3/4" 1-1/8 loads for ducks.Kill geese too. Might use the big ones like has been said for long range geese or turkeys, but totally not for ducks.
