RE: Need some advice on a quiver
VAboy , I hunt in real thick stuff too. It seems like an attatched quiver is a magnet for briars and especially vines(I've been hung up many times) .Give a look at the Catquiver I or II (quiver backpack combo)on Cabelas or Rancho Safari's website. Especially if you carry a fanny pack or backpack with you anyway. The catquiver fits closely and firmly to your back and is very comfortable(there's nothing dangling around or loose ,crawling through the thickets). Like 2Eagles I don't like anything on my bow either. Also you can pull an arrow out of the Catquiver with 2 fingers as fast as you can a attatched bow quiver and I found it faster than any hip quiver I tried. It has several hooks stitched in for strapping extra clothes to it,etc. I keep a small bungie cord on it for fastening it to the tree or strapping my jacket to it on the way out if it has warmed up a lot. Their worth a look anyway!!
