According to the NY Bear hunting regulations or rather bear feeding regulations in NY you can carry up to 1.5 fluid oz of scent or lure on you and it won't be considered "feeding" bears. Raises concerns about what a big bottle of apple scent is though, especially if you are in an area that has both deer and bear hunting going on at the same time.Best thing is to ask or keep the amount you have on you below 1.5 oz.
