I don't consider myself a "trophy" hunter, but I am out to shoot one of the larger bucks for my area. While I spend a real good amount of time in the woods all season, the minimum amount that I would still hold confidence in getting a chance at a mature buck is a week during the peak of the chase phase of the rut.
