I'm headed the same direction, only I'm gonna start this year. You must have a Hatfield if it's a takedown,but even if you can get more limbs for it, it'll probably cost as much as a good used bow. Try

I prefer a heavier bow for deer than many use. I feel it gives me more range, and I definitely believe an elk deserves a profound whack. Just check out what the rifle hunters say it takes to put one down. I like that; hunt/vacation.
