thats the exact reason I posted this question . I want to hear what works for you . I've been toying with blackpowder for years , but both my knowledge and experience is limited .I have gotten more good ideas in the last 2 days, than in all this other time .no one around my area (that I know of )is very serious about this subject .georgia gives us 1 week ,and thats all most people do . I hunted with mine off and on all season last year and really enjoyed it . I just want to be more effective , and accurate .
If anyone wants to know about terminal performance with centerfire bullets , just ask. I have alot of experience with that ,just about any caliber .
Most of your CF knowledge and experience is going to transfer straight over to MLing only the bullets are a lot slower and bigger, but I believe they kill better and faster thanmy 30-06CFbecause ofbullet size, expansion and mass/energy. They are very effective guns to 100 yards for most people and 150 yards for some people and if you shoot a Savage 10ML and a high BC bullet you can get 200 yards pretty easy with over 1000 fpe.
