Default Lefty Test Shooting Rights?

I will begin shopping for my new bow this week! Or should I say test shooting. I’ve been lurking threw the shadows of this site for the past couple months and have my sites on the Razortec, Cybertec, DC Pat, DC Solo, Mathews LX and whatever else I can get my hands on. Sorry about the lurking<img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>

From what I’ve read so far the Razortec, Cybertec, and DC Pat sound most appealing to me thanks to JeffB, Pabowhntr and Ausie-guy. I just hope I can feel differences in performance as well as you all can.

I’ve been shooting the same old bow for TEN years. A Darton SL Hunter at 67lbs, @234fps. I have a feeling I’m in for a treat! I can’t wait to feel what you’re all talking about. I’m afraid I will shoot them all and be in such awe of how smooth they all are compared to mine that I won’t be able to pick a favorite from the “new” crowd.

There are two Bowtech/Hoyt dealerships close to my home I have to choose from. I’ve stepped foot in one last year once and talked with the owner for sometime. He seems like a standup guy and I plan to visit him first. I hope he has the bows mentioned to test shoot. I’m a lefty and am not expecting him to have any left hand models on the shelf but am able to shoot right handed. I hope that doesn’t throw things off either though I feel it will. A “crewed” draw cycle on a DC Pat might be highlighted or more crewed with the use of my right arm due to lack of muscle vs. left arm. My form will not be up to par for that matter I can shoot right-y but am not in any way efficient at it. Thus a lefty was born. I was wondering what your thoughts were on this. Should I shoot every bow right handed regardless if one is a left hand model? Will this cloud my ability to pick the “right” bow? I’ve never test shot bows before and didn’t know you could until your posts. I had a hand-me-down bow when I turned 14 and the next year Santa Claus put one under the tree I’ve been using since. It cracks me up hearing you guys buying two or more bows a year! I just can’t order two and pick one though that sounds soooooo convenient. Keep the reviews coming guys I love em! You’ve all been tons of help. I’ve always enjoyed this place and have learned a lot! Keep up the good post!
