RE: Broadheads for Elk Hunting
Good Post Antler Eater, IAWhitetail, he's right.
I had only one experience with broadheads on elk. I have gone on only one hunt and with success I know how my Muzzy 3 blade 100 gr did. I shot my bull at 33 yards and had a complete pass through. The arrow proceeded another 10 yards or so past the animal and layed intact. A change of blades and I shot a buck that fall as well with the same broadhead.
I've used Muzzy for over 10 plus years and they've worked as well as any could have under all circumstances. I feel they are at the top if not the top and you won't go wrong with them but they are not the only broadhead on the market that is just as deadly. Several others I would recommend and use myself are the Rocky Mountain Titaniums, The Wasp SST Hammer 3 blade fixed, InnerLoc's and Thunderheads although I don't like how Thunderheads assemble.
