The wonders of marketing gimmicks never cease to amaze me. Due to the lack of felt recoil on a Ruger Single Six, about the only thing that could cause flinching would be the muzzle blast. Well actually lets call it muzzle crack because it isn't really strong enough to be a blast. Anyways the 22 LR is a mere pop but the 22 WMR has a high pitched crack. Both would be worse if you port the barrel so I feel it wouldn't be at all benificial.
