Default RE: Taking one off the ground??

I don't know how many deer I've killed in my life, probably around 40-45 total between gun and bow, but all but 5 were killed while hunting on the ground. I like the extra challenge that ground hunting offers. I don't use a blind either. Most often I just sit behind a couple of trees that are close together. The trick is knowing when and when not to move. I tried hunting out of climbers for a while but I hated having to pack the stupid thing around all of the time. What a pain. Now all I carry is a small fold up stool with a pouch to put scent, snacks, etc. in. It works great and makes me very mobile which I like. During rut, when I see a buck dogging a doe and they aren't heading my way I just grab my stool and move to a better position. It's a ton easier and faster than getting a stand down and packing it around.
