I've owned Browning, Winchester, Remington, Ruger,Savage and other brands. IMO the Browning A-bolt is the best of the lot. The down side is that you'll be hard pressed to find own for under $500. The Browning Compsite Stalker in 270 is a great combination. Good Luck.
