I replied to "It'll be a cold day in ..." with the question I asked myself regarding the carbon vs. aluminum deal. "What's the difference and does it really even matter?"

Wood shafted arrows have taken more game than either. Heck, 1/3 of my archery deer harvest were along with my first gobbler and my only elk. Hopefully there will be more in my future.

Make your choice and be happy with it. I am with mine, so again, why change?
