Ha, your the guy that said it worked great. Guess I missed that, my bad.

I'm not going to apologize for being able to type and making longer posts. If you have been around a while you should know I'm not known for my short to the point posts. If you don't want to read them just skip them. I often skip or scan long sections of text unless it is something that really peaks my interest.

I never thought of carrying an extra knife as a bad thing? However I will give you a hint. Forget your knife or some other major piece of gear and it darn near guarantees you will kill a deer.

I will add that I don't own property, don't own a truck or an ATV. So I hunt someone else's land and often have to walk a ways to my stand and also drag the deer for a ways to get access to it to load it into a vehicle. So I try and travel with the least amount of stuff as I can. Normally what I can fit in my pockets and a belt with a bunch of pockets in it. I don't use a back pack or anything.

My deer get field dressed where they drop, and I have to drag them from there so I can only use what I can carry on my person. Sometimes less is more to me.

Just my opinion though.
