Greg:

To get a really good shot out of your back, it is critical that you aren't dipping your head into the string to find your anchor points. If you measure my draw length on any bow (hunting bows exempt), no matter the ata (string angle) I will have the same distance from the back of the loop to the throat of the grip. Because of string angle though, I will modify loop length to get that string where I need it for reference points such as the nose, corner of the mouth, etc.......

The longer ATA bows I have shot use a longer loop and shorter true draw (string to throat of grip), and the shorter bows I use will have a longer true draw and shorter loop length. And Todd is right about tweaking........if my draw length is off on a competition bow by 1/8" it will throw me way off. My shot sequence and float are both drastically affected by DL, mass weight, and holding weight. These are the key things I will tweak a bow for and what is most important characteristics in a bow for competition use for me. For hunting, most all that goes out the window....I will shoot a bow 1/2" shorter, light as I can get it, with high letoff.

Todd:

If your working with a coach I am sure your aware of this, but that double set is cutting precious seconds off your shot sequence and will affect your consistency with setup of the shot.
