Today Snuffy, Cliff, Brian and Mr. Extreme and myself made the 327 mile round trip up to Peru to fish the Illinois for some Silvers. We got there around 9:30 am and there were some guys just leaving that had been there all night. They left with no fish at all. We ran all the way up to Starve rock lock and never jumped one fish. So decided to just cruse the shore and shoot the regular way. Along the way I asked Mr. Extreme if he had shot his bow since I cranked it up for him. He said no. So I told him to pick a leaf or spot of scum and take a shot. Which he did and when he shot his line took off with a 9# silver at the other end. That poor silver was just swimming along not bothering any one and He goes and nails it. Soon after that we are crusing along, Mr. Extreme whips up his bow and shoot right next to the boat. His Dad and I had no clue, and had not seen a thing. Well he haulsin a 11# grassie this time. We left around 3:30 and Tyler was the only one to shoot any fish. Did have a nice boat ride tho
