I thought the 38% (4-6 PM) evening kill figure is an interesting one. We have had this discussion before and as I recall most herefelt more big bucks were killed in the evening than in the AM. I guess I buck (no pun intended) that trend personally, over 70 % of the P&Y bucks I have killed have been in the AM. This makes me wonder...could the P&Ykill figure be higher in the 4-6 PM hours because more guys hunt the evening than do the AM? In other words during the rut I know a lot of guys that get home from work and head for the woods. They are unable to hunt the AM during the work week...Just thinking out loud.
I too used to think that the AMs were better for big bucks. Now I am 50/50 with AM vs PM. I'm not sure why my success has shifted to the PM, might have something to do with warmer weather or maybe a change in stand location.
