Amen. Nothing funny about hurricanes at all.

My girlfriend is a Captain, and mainly runs offshore fishing boats for people, but she took a side job delivering some 50 foot SunSeeker yacht from Little Creek, VA to FT. Lauderdale. She didn't make the call to leave this morning (Saturday), and my self and her dad (also a Capt. who owns his own boat) told her it wasn't the best of moves with the Hurricane coming North. Supposed to go into the gulf... but when you are in 15-20 foot seas.... a 50 foot boat is an awfully small island.... She's smart, and if it wasn't safe, she wouldn't have gone, and if its too chewy out there the other capt she is with is a good friend of ours, and we both trust his judgement too...

Still makes me nervous... them storms are not to be taken lightly.
