Default RE: P & Y stats

I find those stats very interesting. I always wonder how far up the ladder they have to go to get those gems. I know there is extra info on the affidavit that is sent in to the P&Y clubbut what does one have to do to get access to such info...

In the late 90's I know the average distance that most P&Y's were killed was under 20 yards, something like 18 yards or so. Could technology ( better equipment and/or skill) be pushing the ability to make a killing shot farther than in days gone by or is it something else? Dunno

I thought the 38% (4-6 PM) evening kill figure is an interesting one. We have had this discussion before and as I recall most herefelt more big bucks were killed in the evening than in the AM. I guess I buck (no pun intended) that trend personally, over 70 % of the P&Y bucks I have killed have been in the AM. This makes me wonder...could the P&Ykill figure be higher in the 4-6 PM hours because more guys hunt the evening than do the AM? In other words during the rut I know a lot of guys that get home from work and head for the woods. They are unable to hunt the AM during the work week...Just thinking out loud.
