Default RE: Range Finder

If price is no option and you don't mind some bulk, then go with the Lieca's, they are real nice. In my case I couldn't make myself open the wallet enough for a pair of lieca's, so I went with the Bushnell Pro Scout, it ranges from 10-300 on deer. I have tested it in the field and actually get readings from 7 - 331 yards this past fall on deer or smaller objects like trees. It is light and very compact. The only knock I can give it is, in low light not great and due to size it does take sometime to get over the shakes on those long distance ranges(ie:200+). But for my purposes it is exactly what I need and I didn't have to mortgage the farm.

I mostly use in set up and mark my yardage before had, I believe most do this...however if you plan on using it mostly to find the range on game, the larger styles offered would be a better fit...just due to the stability factor(more like a pair of binos).

Good Luck.
