RE: getting a deer
Boy have you asked a tough one here. Not knowing whether you hunt private land or public land. The best advise I could give you is scout, scout, scout and scout some more. Learn as much about the area you hunt as you can. Start your scouting now. This is a great time to scout. Look for areas with several rubs, These are great areas to make note of. Bucks have certin areas that they like to frequent and they use these areas year after year. I would try to find several areas like this if possible. Field edges are good to pick up lots of info on deer activity. Look for trails coming in and out of the woods. I would refrain from going into the areas you want to hunt at least 2 weeks before the season opener. I could go on and on all day, but knowing your hunting experience or the area you hunt, I could be wasting my breath. I could be telling you things you already know and practice. If you would like to be more specific on your questions, you can email them to me and I would be more than happy to help you out as much as possible.
