I think our deer are actually growing as far as body weight. I find that 140 average to be a tad short coming.

My 2.5, 3.5 year old bucks I've taken the last 6 years all go over 150 and more towards 175 if not more.

A budy of mine took a 217 lb field dressed buck at his cabin, weighed in at a meat locker, biggest bodied buck I've ever seen. It filled his Dakota bed, would have been a 240 plus pound deer live.

I'm not sure I ever took a 200 lb deer yet myself, never weighed them however I'd surmise they are clearly 160 plus.....

140 average seems very low. I also wonder if that were summer weight, winter weight or when?
