I don't know what poundage it is now, but I turned mine down too. I am shooting 55 lbs and that is plenty to bring down a deer, coyote, turkey, hog etc...
I had bad form when I was shooting 70 pounds. It wasn't that I couldn't pull it back, but it wasn't as smooth. I admit it did ding my pride a bit, but missing a deer because I was shaking would more than ding my pride.
