I also make my own scent killer.ButI do not use the brown bottle stuff.I think it has too much smell.I use baquacil hydrogen peroxide.You can buy it at any pool store(it's in a blue bottle).The only thing is,it's 27%,so you have to dilute it down to 3%.Which means nine parts water to one part peroxide.I then use 1/2 cup baking soda,1.5 qts. of the diluted peroxide,2 qts. of distilled water(not tap water),and about an ounce of scent free laundry detergent.Try to put in a darker jug,and store in a cool dark place.Hope this helps.I know it saves me alot of money every year.
