I really like Blue Dot for a powder in my 41 and 44 revolvers. I've tried 4227, its easier to measure but blue dot ends up being economical (without leaving the case nearly empty like unique) and gives velocities that are top-level (Stick with H110/W296 if you want max vel barn burners). It also gives a nice flash if you shoot at dusk

I prefer lead cast bullets for all my revolvers...targets and hunting. As long as you get them arriving at the animal over 1000fps I suspect you'll never need anything else.
