Well you can start with just one call. Especially since you don't have too long, one call will be plenty for the first year with lot's of practice. Knight & Hale Ol' Yeller is a great call and it can be had for around $14.00. It's a slate type call. Another great call is the Lynch Jet Slate and it to is around $14.00. Lynch also makes some great box calls which usally run around the $20.00 neigborhood. Decoys are rather inexpensive. I have about four but usally only carry one or two with me. Each one cost about $13.00.
