RE: 40+ yards
nope...and probably never will...atleast hunting in the woods of PA. i practice out to 40. hopefully 50 and 60 this year...but in the woods everything would have to be absolutely perfect for me to take a shot over my first pin(20yd pin..good till about 25ish) no wind, brush, known yardage etc would be the only way id do it. if your off a couple yards at 40+ your talking a matter of inches of drop...im good at guessing...but if i come up 5 yards hot and shoot 45 and its 40 im going to be 4 or so inches too high...thats no good...and even then...thats alot more time of arrow flight for the deer to move...
i do practice out at 40+ but i highly doubt i'll ever take game that far. thats the fun of bowhuntin...gettin them in close...but i guess out west thats common practice...im confident i can kill a foam deer in my nicely mowed yard at 40...but not a live one
