cayugad,you should try you a savage as much as you like to shoot they are really fun to shoot and pretty darn accurate,but they are like any other muzzleloader you have to find the loads that it prefers.
I shot the groups below trying some different powder than I us regularly.
The bottom target is at 300 yds,3-shot group,measures 1.196 in outside to outside - .452 ==.744
Just shot these tuesday morning.
Herman, you are one heck of marksman. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's triple 7 or smokeless, you seem to put them right in there. Good shooting.
