I got a set of 990's 2 years ago. I wouldn't play any other club. They were tough getting used to but I love them now. Ok now back on the subject. BIG COUNTRY when you say they have way more than enough, is it that bad to have WAY more than enough. Most of the things I've heard is overspined is better than underspined. How much of difference are we talkin between the 340's and 400's? I'm not too worried about the weight. Right now I'm shooting nearly a 500gr. setup. I figure if I drop 50 gr. or so I should still have enough KE for whitetail and I'll gain quite a bit of speed.
