Cranford all the way! No need for drills or step installers. Just startem and screw them in. Easier to start, strong, durable and safe. One thing about them is if they get a tad dull after lots of use, the tip ends are easily touched up. Another cool thing is they can be easily unscrewed compared to any other brand I tried in the past, but still easily screw in. Personnally I prefer the rod steps and my local pro shop sells them for $3.50 a piece, a pretty good deal.

I would not trade 5 of any other brand for 1 of my Cranfords.
