From age 18 up until about age 27 I used a 30-06 and 150 grain corlokts for most of my deer hunting. If I ever knew exactly how many deer I killed in that span I have forgotten it now. At least 60 butprobably more. I never had a single bullet related problem with any deer in that span. You just don't need high dollar designer bullets for whitetails. Standard lead tipped cup and core types do just fine.
