come to PA and you will see dozens upon dozens of guys who are just there to shoot a buck. You could have a 150# doe standing next to a 115# spike buck, and they would shoot the buck 10 times out of 10.
How is that guy any different then the one who would do the same thing.........but only if it had a bigger rack.
I bet in those 20 years you also didn't spend a whole lot of time in the woods after you killed your buck either. You are a one buck tag state right?
Filling a buck tag has NEVER kept me from the woods. You should know better then that by now.......I am out there trying to slam that freezer FULL. We get 2 buck tags.
You spun my meaning. They would shoot it for (what ever the distinguishing factor was) say that was a blue dot. WE'd be sitting here arguning that some guys shoot deer JUST because it has a blue dot on it, and then there are guys who wait in the buck with the BIGGEST blue dot. Just interchange rack & blue dot.
I don't see a different meaning there............I would still think the guy obsessed with the biggest blue dot cares more then the guy who will shoot any blue dot and if it's a big one then great..........if not he doesn't really care because he still had fun.
I don't see why you are so hung up on someone wanting/waiting for a big buck? MANY MANY MANY guys find little to no enjoyment in shooting a little buck.
I'm not..........do whatever you want..........have a blast.........wait on a 5,000 inch 85 pointer for all I care........I have no interest in telling you what you should or should not get enjoyment from. Please extend me the same respect.
We'd rather sit there & watch them and take pictures. We are also prepared that we may not shoot a buck at all some year. And sometimes for several.
And that is your free will to choose to do so............just as someone else can express their free will to choose what THEY want to do. Yes, often times those choices will not be the same. Such is life.
We don't HAVE to kill one like so many other "horn porn" guys out there do.
That analogy doesn't make sense. Re-read my cigar analogy and maybe it will sink in. You have it backwards.
Except for those driven to unscrupulous behavior, it will always be my contention that a guy who waits and only shoots "big" bucks, is far lessobsessed with racks, than a guy who HAS to shoot his buck, cause its the "manly" thing to do.
Wow, do you have your wires crossed on that one
