RE: KANSAS HUNTERS
Outfitter,
Maybe I worded it incorrectly. But last year the rancher I know applied for tags non-resident transferable. He had to apply for them at the cost of $332.15 . (Landowners have to draw non-resident transferables and up to 50% of the non-resident tags can be issued that way).He thensold the tag to JoeBlow for x amount of dollars. (lets say 664.30). That gave him back his $332.15 and he made a profit of $332.15 he then transfered the tag to Joe Blow. (few dollars transfer fee) Joe Blow got the tag and still had to purchase the $332.15 deer tagplus the $72.15 for the lic. So the tag as far as things went cost roughly $1100. ($332 that the landowner paid to get the tag for in the drawing, $332 that he made profit, $332 for the tranfer person to get the tag and $72 for the hunting lic). Transfering the license just allows you to purchase the tag. At least that is the way the people we take hunting have had to do it in the past. If that is wrong then somebody was over charged. Or somebody gave them the wrong process to get the tag. But as 6 people did it that way in the past 3 years I don't think they all got the wrong advice. And it wasn't from me that they were told they had to purchase the tag. They had that all worked out before they came to the ranch to hunt.
