This was my experiance with the 220 grain Hornady bullet from a 300 Win Mag.... It shot fine, it was accurate, but when you hit an elk you will find the copper stripped from the lead and just under the skin - the lead continued on and it did kill the animal but I never trusted it after that.... I moved to 200 grain Sierra's and 200 grain Noslers which proved to be the best...

Just my thoughts - I still have some left from 10 years ago....
