I guess it all depends on what you want. Ive shot the axis arrows and liked them fine, personaly never shot maximas but have heard great things about them not including the cost "ouch". If I were shooting lower poundage and wanted the most penetration possible Id deffinetly shoot the axis, if penetration or moneywasnt an issue and I was a top level shooter that could possibly see a tad better grouping with the maximas Id shoot them.
