Default RE: Is 50-60 suffecient?

ORIGINAL: bigbulls

in Colorado they have a 60 pound minimum draw weight for elk
Minimum of 35 pounds with a max of 80% let off.

Yes, 58 pounds is more than sufficient for elk. Use a heavy arrow and a solid fixed blade broadhead knows for duraility, strength, and sharpnessto maximize penetration.
Did they change that recently? I swear 8-10 years ago an officer from the DOW came into our camp and asked us what poundage our bows were because they had to be at least 60 pounds. Either I was on crack, or she was.

35 does seem awfully light for elk. Heck, we need 40 just for deer in Ohio. Thanks for the info.
