My advice is to shoot 58 if that is what is comfortable for you. Out of that bow, or any bow for that matter, that is plenty of weight. Now, having said that, in Colorado they have a 60 pound minimum draw weight for elk (at least they used to someone can correct me if I am wrong here). Check the state regs before the season just to make sure for yourself. Either way, 58 is awfully close to 60. Good luck and good hunting.
