good point, an elephant lives like 30+ years, he must be smarter than most whitetails. They don't live that long by being stupid.

They don't just throw away the meat. They give it to the villagers around there. Some of them (villages) depend on the hunters for their food, and useful hides. That much they show on tv all the time when they go hunting in africa.
