I dont remember where your specs were sitting but one thing to remember each inch you cut off is appx 5lbs worth of spine you are adding. For each inch over 28 you leave it you subtract 5lbs. So if you need another inch, you would jump spine groups by one group and it should put you where you want to be to gain the clearence for broadheads.
