The only thing good that I have heard about Savage is their new trigger. besided that, not much.Everybody I know says that the savage, quality wise, falls a bit short.I suggest you look into a Remington 700 PSS in the .300 Win Mag. It has an exellent factory trigger, and YOU can adjust it yourself down as low as 2.5 lbs. That will shoot super out to 1000.It is a heavy barreled rifle, but you can use it up close with a lighter bullet all the wat out to range with something a little heavier.I don't know the price of the Savage, so I can't say for sure, but you might pay a little more for a Remington, but you will for sure be much happier.
Precisely how many Savage rifles have you owned? or are you making that statement based on some garbage you heard on an internet gun forum? the Savage line of rifles may not be the prettiest guns out there, but they are not "cheap" and will outshoot just about any other factory rifle.
