Yes I know what I am talking about. It is hard to understand your posts because you are all over the place and not making much sense but I'll try. It seems you keep coming back to the same thing that if it can be done or not. With the modern technology of compounds there are no reasons that kids should limit them selves to 30 pounds but strive for 40 or 45, why because it is more effective. I don't want younger kids readingyour poststo think that they can use 30 pound bows to hunt deer. I am not wrong on this one. There are lots of laws that are emposed that should not. It has been proven that the energy of 30 pound bows is not enough to be effective on deer. The limbs do not store enough energy to fire the right arrow(which will be very light) to enter the vitals on a deer because it does not posess enough Kinetic Energy. Im guessing you are knew to archery because from what I read you do not know much about bows and how they work. Sure everyone gets lucky, but were those passthroughs throught the vitals or the liver/guts which are much easier to go through, I think they were the latter. You abviuously do not know a lot of Native history also. There bows were not 30 pounds, but were much higher. They used special woods like yew, osage, maple, and walnut to make there bows because they are a much denser wood that resists being compressed/bent. Plus they backed their bows with hide from animals to make them store more energy. They would probably be around the 50 - 60 pound range. Bottom line is kids don't try hunting deer with a 30 pound bow. I know that you will have something to say to this (bloodsaw) but im done arguring with you all I want tis to make sure no one else tries it, for ethics sake.
