Default RE: How do you keep your guns at home?

I keep the expensive ones in a safe. The cheaper ones I keep hanging from bicycle hooks from the ceiling of my basement workshop- kryptonite bike cables go through the triggerguards and through holes drilled in the floor joists.

I really do like glass front wood cabinets, especially nice pieces of work like the original poster has. Unfortunately, these days I'm much more paranoid. The internet is a wonderful way to share ideas about guns and even pictures of guns with others, but the internet cuts both ways. A thief could look at the pctures that you posted and with a little technical knowhow, track you down in your residence.

A few years ago, a gentleman who posted on a collectors forum was robbed while at home. The thieves took him at gunpoint when he stepped outside to go to work and gave him a laundry list of guns they wanted from him- They knew what guns he had!
I looked at a link he had in his signature line- it was a website describing the guns and other hobbies he had. He also had an email contact that was something like [email protected]. I googled his name and flagstaff, and it litterally took me 1 minute to find his address at home.He lost 10s of thousands of dollars worth of guns because of something so simple and easily overlooked.
